Remember my Big Weekend Plans from two weeks ago? The ones that I didn’t get done because I ended up buying a new car? Well, I’m going to try again. Since the new car is at the dealer getting detailed and having a few minor repairs done, here’s the list of things (in addition to the normal cleaning and laundry) that I hope to accomplish this weekend:
- Clean Out My Closet (and hopefully find kids’ Social Security cards)
- Fill Out Applications for New Social Security Cards if I Can’t Find Them
- Go Through Bag of Hand-Me-Downs for Bekah
- Ironing
- Divide Up Kids’ Portraits for Family
- Organize Financial/Personal Paperwork
- Get Phone Number of Financial Planner Auntie Charlotte Uses
- Mow Lawn My neighbor mowed it AGAIN.
- Weed Garden
- Write Some Blog Posts
- KNIT!!!!
And I have a date tonight!

Hope your date goes well and you have a nice time
What do you knit, exactly?
You have an impressive to-do list for the weekend; I usually try to do on my days off only things I really need or really want. If I have to do something I don’t want to do and it can wait, it waits. For me the key is concentration. I try to concentrate on having rest, too, and try to minimize spoiling the me-time with boring and unplesant stuff I can do some other day. If I’m fresh after rest, I do the boring stuff with more interest and energy, too
I am a self-taught knitter. I started by making scarves, moved onto baby blankets, and then I’ve made two sweaters. I’m making a baby blanket for a co-worker right now.
A date?! How’d it go? I want details!!
Sooooooo….how was the date?
I wish one of *my* neighbors would take over lawnmowing duty when I’m too busy to get to it. God, that would be SO nice!
Congrats on the date and it looks like you are already well underway on your goals!
