It’s only 11:30 and so far I have mowed the lawn, weeded around the perimeter of the house and the flower beds, gone to the bank and balanced the checkbook.
The Oldest is in Virginia with my father and stepmother, my nephew and my step-sister’s two kids. They left on Thursday and won’t be back until Tuesday. Dad borrowed my van and left me the Cadillac. Which was nicknamed “Daddy Caddy” by my co-workers. Next task on the agenda today – wash and wax, vacuum and Armor-All that bad boy. I had no idea that my dad was such a slob. The car is FILTHY! And since I loaned him the van with no gas in it, it’s the least I can do.
(In my defense, I had every intention of filling the van. I thought auto-exchange day was Thursday, not Wednesday. So when he showed up, I told him I needed to go fill the van, but he said he would do it. I wish I had been there when he shit a brick – it takes $75.00 to fill my van.)
The little ones are going to sleep over their aunt’s tonight. Which is my only night off for 11 days. Their father and his girlfriend went on a cruise. I forgot how to be a fulltime mom. I haven’t been one in 2 years.
Well, time to get back to work.

By 11:30 all I’d done is wake up.
Today, I only slept until 9:00. All the kids are gone, and that’s the latest I could sleep. Go figure.
We washed the car yesterday, and it came out so crappy, I took it to the car wash and had it re-done. I’m such a dork! And the Armor-All is in the back of the van in Virginia, so I just used Windex.
For a while I was having Waking Up Early Syndrome, but I seem to have overcome it. If Alyx lets me, I sleep until 11. Srsly. But I’m a total night owl and horrible oversleeper.
[...] the same condition, if not better, than you borrowed it. Now technically, I did not borrow the Daddy Caddy. He borrowed the van. But, I took it to the car wash, vacuumed it, and washed the windows and [...]
